Technology Introduction:
The fracture system in complex reservoirs is the main pathway for oil and gas migration and accumulation, serving as the foundation for the formation of large oil and gas fields. However, due to its formation in a complex geological background, its development characteristics and spatial shape are difficult to describe quantitatively. In this research, a GST-based method was used to detect the fracture system. Based on this, the fracture density was calculated to quantitatively describe the fracture system, and fracture modeling based on Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) was performed using spatial orientation parameters.
Application Areas:
This technology has been successfully applied to the fracture systems of complex reservoirs in basins and regions such as Tarim and Sichuan, achieving success and reaching a domestic advanced level.
Technical Advantages:
High resolution
Clear spatial features
Quantitative evaluation and modeling
